The North East Family Fun Fest is a big, free, carnival-like event for the whole community! It's been growing over the years with over 1,800 people attending in 2023 (we took a break in 2024). The event includes inflatables, a petting zoo (dozens of animals to pet and feed), pony rides, games, tractor & picker equipment, a dunking booth, water actitivities, hay rides, face painting, and more. Free food will be served - hot dogs, drinks, sno-cones, cotton candy, and popcorn. Also, there will be a cruise-in car show (first 50 cars will receive a dash plague and trophies will be awarded). Adults & kids always appreciate the huge free rummage "sale"(free give-away), and Chinese auction. Each person receives free tickets to try to win various items. The Chinese auction items will start to be drawn at 1:30pm. The Family Fun Fest is hosted by and held at Orchard Beach Assembly (2025 Orchard Beach Rd; North East 725-3435) and sponsored by various local businesses. All are invited to attend on Saturday, July 26th from 10AM to 2 PM. Supplies will extend to the first 2,000 people to attend. In memory and honor of Lewie Luke, a local farmer who served faithfully in this event, Orchard Beach desires to "Love like Lewie" because he loved like Christ!
